Biography
Pilar Boyero was born in Cáceres. She studied Law at the University of Extremadura and singing and piano at the Professional Conservatory of Music of Cáceres, being soloist of the UEX Choir. In 1992 she started her professional carreer after having emerged with great success in this genre in different performances like the tribute to Maestro Solano in her hometown. 

She has taken part in numerous and relevant shows, sharing the stage with artists of renowned national and international prestige: JA Conde, Felipe Campuzano, Jerry González, Chano Domínguez, Jorge Pardo, Ara Malikian, Benjamín Torrijos, Juan Valedarrama, Clara Montes or Omara Portuondo among many others both inside and outside Spanish borders. She has performed concerts in Morocco (in collaboration with the Cervantes Institute), Cuba (within the 2017 Cubadisco Reference Fair, performing alongside the National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba) and Portugal, as well as in numerous locations of Spanish geography. In 2016 she performed with the Extremadura Orchestra at the Roman Theater of Mérida in celebration of Extremadura Day.

In her audiovisual side, she has participated in a number of television and radio shows of national and international scope, highlighting among them the conduction of the space dedicated to the Copla and the Bolero ‘Soy lo Prohibido’, interviewing song figures like Marifé de Triana, Sara Montiel, Nati Mistral or Manolo Escobar. She has been part of the jury of TV music contests 'Duende Joven' in Canal Extremadura Televisión and 'A tu Vera' and 'Los Niños de tus Ojos' in Castilla la Mancha Televisión, as well as leading and presenting sections dedicated to the Spanish song in other media such as ABC Punto Radio.

Pilar Boyero has also been the promoter of the 'Week of the Copla', a cultural event reference of the genre, facilitating the presence of first-rate intellectuals like Manuel Francisco Reina, Antonio Hernández, Francisca Aguirre, Juan José Tellez, Juana Dolores Valderrama or Juan Valderrama among many others. Finally, as a presenter she has conducted reference galas such as the 2017 Grada Awards.
